A German Black Lager or Schwarzbier with a soft chocolate and rich bready aroma and flavor with creamy body and a herbal hop finish.

Crafted from Ohio barley and a touch of black malt and hopped with German noble hops, in honor of our Great Great Grandmother Elisabeth who tragically left her husband and children too soon. August her husband held vigil twice each year on the anniversary of her passing and on Mother’s Day; he never remarried.
